By the decision of the Senate of the University of Oradea no. 133 of November 9, 2009 the Department for Permanent Education (D.E.P.) was established at the University of Oradea. As a result of the National Education Law no.1 / 2011 and the restructuring that took place at the University of Oradea, in May 2011 D.E.P. has turned in to the Center for Continuous Education and Human Resources Development (C.E.C.D.R.U.), its activity being subordinated to the Council of Administration of the University of Oradea.
