Operation and accommodation in students’ dormitories are governed by the Regulation of organization and operation of the dormitories, canteen and other facilities that provide services for students and the Framework Regulation of the University of Oradea on the accommodation in students’ dormitories.
Accommodation for Students at the University of Oradea
Accommodation for students of the University of Oradea is provided in designated dormitory spaces, with a total capacity of 1435 places, distributed as follows:
1. Dormitory C1 (Boys) – Located in the Central Campus, with a capacity of 405 places, this dormitory currently houses male students. The rooms, which accommodate 3-4 beds, are equipped with refrigerators, wardrobes, and study tables. Each floor includes study rooms, bathrooms, kitchens, laundry facilities, and wireless internet access.
2. Dormitory C2 (Girls) – Also located in the Central Campus, with a capacity of 339 places, this dormitory is reserved for female students. The rooms, with a capacity of 3-4 beds, are equipped with refrigerators, wardrobes, and study tables. Each floor offers study rooms, bathrooms, kitchens, laundry facilities, and wireless internet access.


3. Dormitory C4 – Located in the Central Campus, with a capacity of 351 places, this dormitory accommodates both male and female students. The rooms, each with 3 beds, are equipped with private bathrooms, refrigerators, wardrobes, and study tables. The dormitory also includes 4 rooms with 2 beds each, specifically designed for students with disabilities.

4. CP1 Dormitory – A modern facility with four floors and 246 double rooms, this dormitory is equipped with private bathrooms, refrigerators, TVs, and underfloor heating. Each floor includes study rooms, kitchens, laundry facilities, and wireless internet access. Common areas are equipped with surveillance cameras and smoke detectors, and smoking is strictly prohibited.

5. Dormitory C3 – Located at 25 Poieniței Street (with access from 55A Constantin Brâncoveanu Street), this dormitory has a capacity of 268 places and houses both male and female students. The rooms, each with 4 beds, are equipped with refrigerators, wardrobes, and study tables. Each floor includes study rooms, bathrooms, kitchens, laundry facilities, and wireless internet access.

Accommodation rates are determined based on the student category and room capacity. These rates are published on the University of Oradea website and are updated by Senate decisions.
The five student dormitories are equipped according to current standards, ensuring that the accommodation needs of students are met.
The accommodation process, from submitting applications to completing the accommodation procedure, follows an annual schedule published in the Accommodation Calendar, which is accessible on the University of Oradea website.
The distribution of dormitory places is handled by each faculty separately, prior to the start of the academic year.
Throughout the year, students can request accommodation based on available spaces. Requests are registered at the University Registry and forwarded to the relevant Vice-Rector’s office.
In addition to housing students, the five dormitories can also temporarily accommodate external guests, subject to availability. This accommodation is granted with the approval of the Rector or the relevant Vice-Rector, and according to rates approved by the University Senate.
