Categories of scholarships, their access arrangements and required documents are listed in the Regulation for scholarships.
Means of access to scholarships and other means of financing
Performance scholarship
- is assigned to the students from our own funds, starting in the second year of study (Bachelor, Master) for an academic year. University of Oradea performance grants 10 scholarships annually.
- the files to obtain the performance scholarship will be submitted to the secretariat of the vice-rector responsible with the management of students` issues and social issues, building where is Rector’s office, et. III, tel: 0259-408184, by the last week of October of the current academic year.
Excellence Scholarship
- is awarded to students with outstanding learning results in descending order of the overall averages (exams, tests, projects – according to the curriculum) obtained in the exam session that is prior to the semester in which scholarship is requested.
Study Scholarship
- is given according to the results obtained in teaching within the specialties, lines and years of study after the award of excellence scholarships, in descending order of the overall averages (exams, tests, projects – according to the curriculum) obtained in the exam session prior to the semester in which scholarship is requested.
Social scholarship may be permanent (for the duration of an academic semester) or occasional (no more than twice per academic year).
- eligible for a permanent social scholarship during a semester, are the students in full time education, who are not receiving study scholarship or excellence scholarship, in order of priority set out below:
a) orphans of both parents and the orphanage;
b) orphan of one parent;
c) medical cases (Annex 2 to GD 558/1998, art.8c) students who are patients with tuberculosis and are registered with medical units, those with diabetes, malignancies, severe mal absorption syndromes, chronic renal failure, asthma, epilepsy, congenital heart disease, chronic hepatitis, glaucoma, severe myopia, immunological diseases, those infected with HIV or AIDS, spondylitis or rheumatism of joints;
d) students whose family have not earned any income in the previous 3 consecutive months of application;
e) students whose family have not earned any income in 3 consecutive months prior to application an average net monthly income per family member more than minimum wage.
- social scholarship is also awarded to the students who obtained all necessary credits to pass into the next year of study from the higher education institutions of the State, who attest that they or one of their parents, are fighters of the Romanian Revolution of December 1989 or of the martyr hero with one mention: injured, detained, injured and detained, noted with outstanding deeds, accompanied by a patent signed by the President of Romania .
- to obtain social scholarships, students submit the supporting documents mentioned in the Regulation of scholarships, within 15 days after the start of semesters, at the secretariats of the faculties / departments.
- Occasional social aid scholarship for clothing, that can be given to orphan students, socially disadvantaged students, students from orphanages or family type homes, whose families do not realize in the last 3 months an average monthly net income more than 75% of the average wage per family member.
- to obtain an occasional social aid scholarship, students will submit an application and supporting documents specified in the Regulation of scholarships at the secretariat of Vice-Rector responsible for social issues and students within 15 days after the announcement of this category of scholarship.
- the scholarship of social occasional aid for clothing is awarded once per a semester. It may be given to the same student two times during an academic year. The number of scholarships awarded is 10.
Occasional scholarship for outstanding results achieved in scientific, cultural-artistic and sportive activities
Results gained in scientific, cultural-artistic and sportive activities, has to be related to the semester when scholarship is granted. It may be given to the same student two times during an academic year. The number of scholarships awarded is 10.
to obtain this category of scholarship students will submit an application and supporting documents to the Secretariat of the Vice-Rector in charge of social issues and students within 15 days after the announcement of this category of scholarship.
