Services and Fees

LIBRARY SERVICES:

• specialized assistance in retrieving information;
• library licence – a free library card throughout the period of study for students, master and Ph.D. students, but also for the teaching staff, researchers and employees of the University of Oradea;
• library licence – a library card (40 lei/year or 20 lei/3 months) for external users: students, teachers, students of other universities etc.;
• provides access to the traditional catalogues: alphabetical and systematic;
• provides access to the OPAC databases system;
• in the library – 15 OPAC stations in the reading rooms and ground floor;
• on line – on the university site: www.uoradea.ro – RESEARCH – LIBRARY
• provides free access to the collections, organized by subject, in the reading rooms
• home loan with the possibility of extending the loan period at the library or by phone;
• interlibrary loan requests – free (only photocopies equivalent – if required);
• bibliographies on request service;
• national and international exchange of publications;
• access on the website of the library www.uoradea.ro – Research-Library-Scientific databases and mobile access to the following databases:
  • ScienceDirect Journals;
  • Springerlink Journals;
  • ProQuest Central;
  • Cambridge Journals;
  • Scopus;
  • Clarivate Analytics (Web of Science, Journal Citation Reports, Derwent Innovation Index).
• provides unlimited and free internet access through the 15 stations in the reading rooms and the possibility of editing and forwarding information by e-mail;
• Liberty5 Library software under license Softlink – England, which allows fast and efficient user documentation;
• Internet outlets at each study table of the library, with the possibility of using students own laptops;
• easy access to the copy machines with rechargeable library card – 2 copy machines;
• 1 A3 color copy machine (using rechargeable student/employee ID card) for the multiplication of documents – on the 2nd floor reading room;
• 11 individual study cabinets, provided free of charge to students and teachers: 5 cabinets on the 3rd floor and 6 cabinets on the 4th floor;
• Conference room with 100 seats – for organizing conferences, symposiums, round tables, book launches, public support of Ph.D. theses, etc.;
• Exhibition space in the library lobby.

FEES:

ACCESS TO THE READING ROOMS IS PERMITED ONLY ON THE BASE OF THE STUDENT/EMPLOYEE ID CARD

THE STUDENT/EMPLOYEE ID CARD IS NON-TRANSFERABLE!

Registration to the library (getting the student/employee ID card):

• for students, graduates, Ph.D. students, teaching staff, researchers and employees of the University of Oradea – free;
• for external users (students, teachers, students of other universities etc.) – 40 lei/year; 20 lei/3 months.

Documents needed for registration:

• for students, Masterandes and Ph.D students – student’s license for the current academic year (or certificate from the Faculty Secretary) and identity card;
• teachers, researchers and employees of the University of Oradea – identity card;
• for external users (only for consulting the library collections at the Reading room) – identity card.

NOTE – Foreigners will identify themselves with their passport instead of their identity card.

Student/Employee ID card loss – duplicate release – 30.00 lei;

Loss or destruction of library documents (which can not be physically recovered) – a fee for the payment of the inventory value, updated with the application of the inflation rate to the day, plus an amount equivalent to 1-5 times the price so calculated (according to article 67, point 2 of the Ordinance No.26/26.01.2006 for amending and completing the Law of Libraries No.334/31.05.2002).

Penalties for late return of publications – The late return of borrowed publications is sanctioned with a fee of 0.5 RON for each day of delay, applied gradually to 50% of the updated inventory value with the application of the inflation rate to date.

Interlibrary Loan:

• no fee is charged, only the equivalent of photocopies (if requested);

Bibliographic research (on request) – 0,50 lei/reference (minimum 5,00 lei);

Photocopying – with a student/employee ID card – which can be recharged at the Taxes Services:

• 0,20 lei/A4 B/W page;
• 0,80 lei/A4 color page;
• 0,40 lei/A3 B/W page;
• 1,60 lei/A3 color page.

Conference Room Rental (100 seats):

• for the events organized by the University of Oradea (students or teachers) – free of charge;
• for external users – 300 lei/hour.
